Geeta Raj Portfolio, Le Papillon Solutions
I’m wonderfully pleased to share my work with Guirlaine and Le Papillon Solutions. For me, instructional design intersects with art, the science of learning and – most importantly – the learner. I arrived at instructional design from a graphic and visual design background. It’s been a fun, interactive and creative journey. I’ve carried over paramont design principles—intentionality, accessibility, and a focus on the learner/user—into my instructional design work and look forward to the next intersection.
CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT IN RISE: COLLEGE BOOTCAMP COURSE
- Oftentimes the most effective way to work with a client is through the process of demonstration first and then iterative feedback. When a client approached me to layout and edit a Handbook for publishing in PDF format, I found PDF to be a flat medium for the dynamic content the client is presenting. The content is prime for a more engaging, interactive and immersive platform.
- I then developed this in-progress eLearning course on Rise to illustrate the possibilities for the client. Please note some of the videos are more of a mock-up than final video, some with placeholder footage. All text and visuals were created based on the client’s vision for the PDF.
CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT IN STORYLINE ARTICULATE FOR LMS PUBLICATION: INTERACTIVE STORIES AS PART OF A CLASSROOM CURRICULA
- This video is a screen recording of a test module in Storyline Articulate of an interactive curriculum that uses interactive and multi-media stories as the main driver of learning.
- I am designing from two perspectives- one is to engage the learner in the joy of storytelling and the second is to ensure learning outcomes are seamlessly embedded, scaffolded and measured.
- Please forgive the seemingly inconsistent color pallette; I am testing various formatting, colors and layout in this storyboard for review with the team.
- Target learner is early reader and readers with poor reading skills. Adults and teachers will receive eLearning training to apply this in the classroom.
eLEARNING COURSES WITH METAMEDIA

- I joined the MetaMedia team in conceptualizing, designing, storyboarding and executing A Virtual Reality / 360 Scenario for training Hazmat workers on a scene. Find screenshots here.

- I joined the MetaMedia team in conceptualizing, designing, storyboarding and executing the video for this training for Alternative Dispute Resolution. I am trying to locate the video to share with you.

- I joined the MetaMedia team in designing the learning path, lessons and assessments to ensure learner retention.
ACCESSIBILITY: TAKE A WALK WITH HARRIET TUBMAN, NATIONAL PARK SERVICE
- I led a two-year iterative process with the National Park Service of conceptualizing, designing, researching learner needs, storyboarding, developing visuals and illustrations, and testing a suite of interactive materials, games, activities and stories.
- Given much of National Park Service’s contributions are place-based (historic sites, parks, specific locations), we wanted to bring sites specific to Harriet Tubman to those unable to physically travel to Auburn, New York. Auburn, New York is where Harriet Tubman lived in freedom for 50+ years, owning a home, attending a church for over 23 years and starting a home for the elderly. Ten years back these sites, documenting the lesser-known aspects of Harriet Tubman’s life, were signed into legislation as historic sites.
- This interactive walk with Harriet is one of numerous interactive eLearning materials I created. *Please note that I designed this in Adobe InDesign to ensure it met the technical requirements in order to be published on National Park Service’s website. This map has yet to be published on their website due to internal delays. For this reason, I embedded a separate version in this portfolio. Please do not use the right and left grey navigation arrows to navigate. Click on “Read Now” to get started. The screen will expand to full screen mode. Hope you enjoy your walk with Harriet!
IMMERSIVE LEARNING: 360 VIDEO
- A 360 virtual reality video I created recently for struggling young readers to improve reading skills. Using specific sight words and vowel sounds in the science of reading provided by the client, teachers are able to provide an immersive experience with words, sounds, narration and visuals. YouTube functions as a 360 Player – you should be able to use your mouse or track pad to move the screen up, down and around.
WEBSITE DESIGN: UI and UX

- Between 2021 and present, I led the conceptualization, iterative design process, branding and website UI and UX for my client PJ Payne. I then designed and built the website according to my client’s specs and requests, keeping in mind user functionality and engagement. You can visit PJ Payne’s site here.
BACK TO 2011: THE FIRST INTERACTIVE STORYBOOK I EVER CREATED
- Perenially inspired by interactive creativity and the joy of storytelling, I led the design, conceptualization, creative direction and implementation of this interactive, multi-media digital storybook in 2011. At the time, it was a storybook app published on the App store. The files and programs are no longer compatible with today’s software to create interactivity but I thought you might enjoy this video of the story on the screen.
